Join Us for Worship on YouTube!

Dear Friends in Christ,
Dear People of God, As we manage in this ever-changing world and try and be good stewards of our health and the health of others, I am reminded of how much we are connected to each other in community. On Saturday the 14th, I, Deacon Lou, Lauren Exley and my wife Sonya went to St. James' to record a service of Holy Eucharist for us to worship together at least in spirit this weekend. I must admit it was odd talking into the camera to try and include you all when we are not physically present. I realize just how much being together is important. We Episcopalians are people of community. A community rooted in the Word and Sacraments of Christ.
Though we are not able to meet for worship at St. James', we hope you will join us at 10am on Sunday for worship via our YouTube channel! The service will be broadcast as a "premiere" allowing us to talk with each other via chat! Even if you are not able to join us at 10am, the video of the service will continue to be available for worship at any time. The service will include everything - music, readings, prayers, a sermon, and Eucharist. Please use the bulletin linked below to participate in the service. I am encouraging families to take bread and bless it at communion and share in an agape meal. I believe that God will be with us and that the grace God imparts at Holy Communion will be available to us somehow by God's grace and Holy Spirit.
May God Bless all of you and I am looking forward to being together again as a family.
If you are at home with Church School aged youth, we would like to provide you with the following resource. Faith@Home is a collection of readings, reflections, and activity suggestions based on the week's lectionary. Prompts are included for several age groups and are designed to be completed as a family. This week's guide is attached below. If you would like to subscribe to Faith@Home and receive weekly emails, you can sign-up at dofaithathome.org
The March 12th communication from the Bishop can be found here and up to date information can be found on the Diocesan website diopa.org
At this time, St. James' will not reopen for services until further notice. We will send out any further updates as they become available. Until then, let us continue to worship, pray, sing, and share in our faith together!
