The original intent of the time together was fellowship during the Covid-19 pandemic. The class has evolved into an in-depth study of the scriptures and how those scriptures inform our understanding of Christ and Christianity. People are still encouraged to drink their favorite beverage but, the focus will be on scripture exploration and not fellowship.
This year we will begin our time together exploring the epistle of 2nd Corinthians. If you haven’t participated in the past, this is a great time to come onboard! I hope all of you will give an hour a week to learn about our scriptures which we hold sacred and come with an inquisitive heart and ask those questions you have been longing to ask.
Our Christ and Coffee program to explores the lectionary scriptures for the upcoming Sunday. This is a wonderful time of fellowship and reflection as we delve into God’s word.
No theological training is required – all one needs is an open heart and a willingness to be open to what God reveals to God’s people in scripture. Many of us go to lunch together after the meeting, but that is not necessary.
If you are free on Thursday mornings at 11:00am, please come and join us for this fantastic time of connection and learning. I look forward to seeing all the regulars there and to all the new people who will join us this season!
