Holy Week at Home

Use the resources below to celebrate Holy Week at Home. It is impossible to replicate the experience of being together with our church family, in our worship space, with our sights and sounds. However, what IS possible is opportunity; an opportunity to discover a new way of worship and a deeper connection with Jesus Christ. Have a blessed Holy Week!

Creating a Home Altar or Sacred Space Expand

The challenges of the corona virus, COVID-19, and being quarantined remind us of how much we miss community and gathering in a place set apart for worship. I am encouraging you to set aside a place in your home to be your sacred space and then we can use this place for worship activities during Holy Week. Use the guide and examples below to inspire your space.

Stations of the Cross - Youth

Originally planned as an in-person interactive experience, our "Interactive Stations of the Cross" has been modified for home use. It is available as both a PDF document and a walkthrough YouTube video. Feel free to use one or both for your Stations experience. If you engage in Stations using the PDF guide, be sure to invite young readers to lead the service. With either option, consider completing the Stations throughout the day or even spread throughout Good Friday and Holy Saturday as attention spans allow.

  • Interactive Stations of the Cross - PDF guide with station images
  • Interactive Stations of the Cross on YouTube - guided experience with stories and prayers narrated, station images projected on screen (Many apologies for the focus issues of the video! It was only noticed when it was too late to redo!)
